Unless he thought a loss in espn will damage his chance of a bigger stage

That could be a possibility, but Echols last night seemed as he would not really have been a threat to Green.

By providing quotes from Allan Green, who has yet to say anything more on the situation than he has in this article. Tony Holden whereas even Green seems embarrassed of his decision.

First of all, this article doesn't really tell us ****, so thanks Ryan for nothing.

And in terms of Allan Green...looks like he either has a huge fight already lined up or his mind is a little ****ed up right now. Maybe some personal ****, maybe some cheap whore gave him herpes, who knows? but it just doesn't seem right.

That's your opinion and my apologies for jumping to conclusions.

I thought the Green quotes on having something bigger on his plate was interesting. Whether or not he's bluffing is something else.

Canceling the fight for no apparent reason did nothing to improve his relationship with ESPN. When some guys would give their eye teeth to get on TV it is hard to understand why Green thumbs his nose at it. If Green is as good as he represents himself he should have just got in the ring and taken care of business. With the benefit of hindsight it doesn't look like it would have been too difficult. Walking away from the fight is a bit of unprofessional behavior which Green sure to pay for some time in the future.
