Jorge Linares can beat Manny Pacquiao

I've been keeping up with whatever Linares fights are on the net. I'm more than impressed with this guy. He seems to be the next JMM, but more aggressive early on in his career. He shares alot of the quality JMM has; intelligence, technical ability, but when it comes to power, I feel that he has one up on JMM.

Manny Pac has shown to have trouble with excellent boxers with power. Linares, I feel, is powerful enough to make Pac back up and has the technical know how to capitalize on the openings and errors Pac would make trying to avoid being backed up.

I like Linares a lot and agree with your analysis. However he is still at featherweight, and Pacquiao will almost surely be fighting for the last time at 130 this month. It just seems unlikely they will ever fight each other.

Linares has good skills though you can still question if he can move up again to LW to chase him. Also, he havent had any opponents anywhere near the power of Pacquiao so he needs a couple of more harder chin tests.

Yeh he is a defensive and offensive master like Marquez, but he reminds me of a young DLH,hes got mindblowing skills, and i too could see him beating Pac and schooling Valero,he also has deadly hands,Linares could be a huge star, have u seen the way he finishes his opponents of once he's hurt them? Some of the most picture perfect finishes in the game, ive been watching him more and more lately,i wish someone could upload more of his fights

Still early in his career, but to many he already looks like shaping up to one of the great fighters.

Can see the comparison to a younger, more offensively minded JMM, but to me I see a lot of Salvador Sanchez in him.
Very smooth fighter, very composed, has every punch in the book, & very intelligent in how he uses them.

Don't see a Pacquio bout in the future - think that Manny will have probably retired by the time Linares reaches the 130-135 weight,
but a Chris John battle within a year look like being on the cards, which should be a very good fight.

Thought John lost to JMM, but he's a very good fighter, & has looked very impressive in his last couple of fights.

So when Pac beats Marquez, you can say:

"Oh I already said Linares would be the man to beat him, here is the thread "

naw, JMM is my favorite active fighter currently. I dont think he will be beating Pac. I hope in wrong though.

You can make a case for Linares being a mix of Oscar and JMM. **** Linares IS the future, and will be a p4p elite for sure. I want to see him tear Chris John up.
