RICKY HATTON reckons the ‘most important fight of his life’ could be at Wembley.
The Hitman has been in talks over a return to the ring at the City of Manchester Stadium following his loss to Floyd Mayweather in December.
Light-welterweight Hatton, 29, wants to face American Juan Lazcano for the bout in May — but Wembley is CHEAPER to hire than Manchester City’s ground.
Lifelong City fan Hatton said: “My next fight will either be on May 24 at City or a week later at Wembley. This will be the most important fight of my life.
“When you get beat, you can go one way or the other.
“You only really find out about yourself as a fighter and a man when things go wrong.
“I’ve had a setback and it’s been the worst period of my life. But I am determined to return to winning ways.”
