    Roach Talks Pacquiao-Marquez, Hatton, Diaz

Freddie Roach has no delusions about the task he and pupil Manny Pacquiao have in front of them on March 15. "We have our work cut out for ourselves," Roach tells BoxingScene.com of the rematch with Mexico City's Juan Manuel Marquez. "I think he's a great fighter and has a very good trainer." Nonetheless, he has been impressed with Pacquiao's efforts in camp thus far. [details]

No way Pacquiao won the first fight by 5 rounds. The rest of the interview was interesting. Good article Ryan.

I don't think Pacman is well suited to go up against the elite's past 130lbs... I think Juan Diaz, M. Katsidis, & Ricky Hatton would stop the Pacster, but that's just my opinion! Got 2 give him credit though, b/c he would probably fight Pavlik if the opportunity presents itself, dude is a beast!

If anything Marquez made a statement in the first fight, flip it around and put manny on the ground 3 times in the first round, im not too sure if pacman would of had the heart to bounce back as big as marquez did.

SO it seems like PAC vs Hatton is really going to happen in the future..
I met Bob Arum at the Pacquia workout in San Fran last wednesday and asked him who is PAC going to fight next after Marquez. He said Diaz and then Ricky Hatton.

I like both guys a lot, and I would like Manny to win based on the fact that there's chances for HUGE fights at both 135 and 140 for him after that. Then again, I sincerely think Marquez will win the fight, he's just so skilled.

I know what roach is getting at but he doesnt seem to understand, pac cannot outbox marquez, pac's only chance is to turn into a brawl. He is still way too predictable and in the the 1st fight it took marquez 3 rounds to realise that all pacquiao was doing, was trying to get paralell everytime with marquez by backing him up in straight lines then firing the straight left. Once Marquez adapted and began to step away from the left rather than backing himself or leaving himself paralell with the left hand, pacquiao had no more ideas and marquez dominated him.

Pac will prolly try and come in with the double jab to back up marquez and get him straight on and paralell so he can throw the left hand.

If Marquez, circles away form the left, pacquaio will get confused and shut down into a low output, which i think will win marquez this fight.

Juan Diaz and Ricky Hatton would knock him out imo.

                David Diaz is very winnable.

And at 140lbs Pac-Man v Paulie pac-man would walk to a UD, Hatton at 140lbs is one tough guy who has skill, speed and power at the weight.

I don't know how Juan Diaz would knock him out if he's never knocked anyone of note out.
