Wlad vs a prime Ike: Who Wins?

Ike was good quick hands for such a large guy good power good footwork and decent all round skills much much better than sam peter, he had all of the basics and had a very good trainer in Curtis Cokes. He destroyed a world champ chris byrd and had that great fight with tua. Wlad is an excellent stand up boxer with power in both hands and an excellent jab. I could see wlad out jabbing ike to a UD but i can also see a situation where ike would put pressure on wlad and KO him, peter who didn’t have half the ability that ike had managed to get to wlad a few times so i would probably favour ike to KO him but some would disagree.

Wlad is a big boy but we cant act like he doesnt have flaws. He still got decapitated by Sanders and was dropped 3 times by Peter. He definatly has improved since earlier in his career but Ike would be by far the most skilled guy he has ever fought. Wlad is dominating now but its not like any of the guys he beat had any chance of making him work for a win. Ike would be hell for him. I think Ike gets to his body easily. Wlad would land some shots but Ike has a dynamite chin. I also still dont trust Wlad's heart at all. He just hasnt had to show it much because the guys he are beating have no chance but he would have to show real heart against Ike and I dont think he has that, or Im not sold on it atleast

I agree its a tough one to call. would ike be able to get inside and make wlad unravel? or would wlad just keep him outside with that jab? wlad has the quicker hands,,better jab and reach advantage whereas ike has better stamina and chin. its a shame we never saw ike against a big man that could box and punch. the tua and byrd fights were impressive but didnt completely answer how he'd do against guys like lewis,,vitali or wlad. totally different styles there

ike had a good chin,,,,but tua is the only big puncher he faced and tua isnt nearly as accurate as lewis or wlad and those guys would be punching down on him. Im not saying they'd have been able to knock him out or not,,,but we'll never know

Tua's not as accuate but him & Ike were basically nose to nose the whole fight so its not like he had to try hard to miss the guy. Lennox & Wlad would be punching down but Ike & Tua did set the punch output record so that means Tua probally still got his fair share of big punches in and Ike took them very well.

Like you said though, we'll never know. I personaly still treat Wlad different then Lennox. I just think Lennox was overall a much better fighter so a fight between him & Ike would get a different opinion from me then a fight between Wlad & Ike. I just dont trust Wlad like that but he'll probally never face another guy with the skills to beat him. The only guys I would give a shot are Sanders again and Peter but both guys are never in shape so I doubt if they could get it done with there belly's hanging down

Lol how the hell is ike anything like austin, Imo a wlad ko is probably the least likely outcome, he would be very cautious against ike i think he would try and fight him like he did with sultan. I could understand saying wlad would win a UD or ike would win a ko but to completely discredit someone like Ike as an Austin type fighter is the same as the haters you so despise.
