Damn Im Confused

I just bought some rival ultra bag gloves for 80$ on titleboxing. I just got them today and I dont know whether to keep them or not. I am 168, 5'10 and I bought the 12 oz ones. I will only be using these for training and bag work. Should i send them back and get the 14 oz to improve my hand speed? Please help me out.
