Rafael Marquez: "it's Not Going The Distance!" (02/26/08)

Editor: Can you give us some thoughts just days away from the biggest fight of you life?

Rafael Marquez: "Everything is over already. I'm just waiting for the day to arrive so the fans can get what they've been waiting for."

Editor: Did you make any adjustments in preparation for this fight as opposed to the last camp?

Rafael Marquez: "Yes we did. We make several adjustments for this fight, and you will see them on Saturday night."

Editor: Is there any way this fight goes the distance?

RM: "No, at all. He's a tough opponent and I'm a warrior too, so I'm expecting a knockout. It's going to be a knockout. Of course I expect this to end like the first fight."

Editor: What does being up 2-1 over Vazquez mean to you and your legacy?

RM: "It brings great satisfaction, it would be great for me and my team and my people. It would mean a lot to my legacy."

Editor: Obviously you're not looking beyond Vazquez, but are there any other big fights that interest you at 122? What other big fights are out there at 122?

RM: "I'm just thinking about this fight, but after this we'll start looking at the other champions at 122."

Editor: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?

RM: "Thanks to all the people for their support. You're going to see the kind of fight you saw the last two times, it's going to be the same kind of fight but a different Rafael Marquez. Everyone will enjoy this fight."

I think this one is going to the cards, but i think Vazquez is going to go down this time.

He narrowly avoided a knockdown in each of the last 2 fights and i think he will go down.

ANd i cant wait to see how round 3 turns out. Both fights so far have had classic round 3's.
