Editor: Can you give us some thoughts on the Klitschko-Ibragimov fight?
Sam Peter: "Everybody saw that this man don't want to fight. He did the same thing to me, except he was just running the other night and with me he was just holding. He does everything he can to make it a boring fight."
Editor: How has everything been going in preparation for your fight with Oleg Maskaev and what can we expect to see from you on March 8?
Sam Peter: "I'm ready and I hope he comes ready. I've been training hard, I just came to Mexico City, I'm going to Cancun tomorrow and I'm waiting for him to show up."
Editor: Based on the McCline fight being a lot tougher than people expected, do you feel you have to make a statement against Maskaev to reaffirm yourself as that heavyweight?
SP: "I've been training for him two times now, it's been a long time. He better come this time around and then people will see me and be able to make their own judgement."
Editor: Does that mean you think what happened against McCline was a fluke?
SP: "All I can say is McCline is a guy I did not expect to fight and my whole fight was messed up."
Editor: Is Maskaev going the distance?
SP: "Watch the fight and you will see."
Editor: What will we see?
SP: "Be my guest on March 8, I invite my fans to tune into HBO for something special. I've got something special for everyone."
Editor: If you're successful against Maskaev, would you prefer to go straight to Wladimir before having to face Vitali?
SP: "This guy last night did not make a commitment. He did not give anybody a clear answer. I'll give you a clear answer though and that answer is, I'm ready to fight anybody who comes my way."
Editor: Closing thoughts?
SP: "I love all of my fans and I will bring excitement to the heavyweights. Watch on March 8 in Cancun, Mexico. We're taking over."
