Probably something like 3-4 months

About 2 months.

It sometimes takes up 2 - 3 months to announce but a lot of the time fighters will have a pathway already made out with backup fighters just incase...

For example when breaking a fighter into his professional career his management will be aware of his next 2 - 3 fights possibly before the fighter himself is aware

Like an active fighter.

That can really vary, and with a top fighter it usually depends on television slots available. One thing that is consistent is that big fights are typically announced three months ahead of time.
