I would like to know what boxing fans in general feel about changing the way a fight is scored, by posting the judges score for everyone to read after every round. This would help a fighter to know whether he needs to knock out the other guy or not going into the late rounds of a big fight. This would also stop any corruption, as a judge cant change his or her score when Don King tells them that the score should be different. This also helps in weeding out all the judges that really dont know how to correctly score a fight. It seems like a win, win ,win situation...Please tell me what you think.. Thanks Lenny.
Its time we post the round by round score

True that fight could have been even better if their wasn't open scoring. Instead Mormeck coasted to the victory. Made the last few rounds frustrating.Comment

judging by what the posters have said, it can be both good and bad I thinkI would like to know what boxing fans in general feel about changing the way a fight is scored, by posting the judges score for everyone to read after every round. That's the only negative i can put for open scoring. The thing is shouldn't the fighter that knows he's losing be swinging for the fences going all out for the KO? That would make it excitingComment

I've always thought about this. There are definitely negatives and positives, but I think the latter far outweigh the former. IMO one of the best examples of a positive would be the Cotto-Clottey fight, in that Clottey would've seen the scorecards and realised that the pressure was on him to swing the fight back in his favour during the last 3 rounds. What a difference that would've made.
Other obvious bouts where a fighter would've benefitted from knowing his progress...
Williams-Margarito
Calzaghe-Hopkins
Trinidad-DLH
Pacquiao-Marquez I & II
Imagine if the losers would've been made aware that they were behind. I know there's an element of surprise that's kinda cool at the end when Buffer suspensefully announces the winner (most of which I think is unnecessary hype for a mere sport), but I wouldn't mind at all if we got round-by-round scores from the judges. It'd certainly beat listening to that cokehead Lederman and his utterly ridiculous scoring! :wanker:Comment
