I don't understand this thing where the welsh and english want to have separate iden******. who cares? in a global perspective you guys are the same. its like dividing france in 2 and saying that one half is significantly different from the other. The welsh and english share the same attitudes according to what I've seen in this forum. You guys might not be EXACTLY alike but you guys are very similar.

Imagine if Americans started supporting Canadian fighters as our own because the current American fighters are ****. We would be a laughing stock. That's what is happening with the english limies and Calzaghe. Before the Lacy fight have a look back in the archives of these forums, the english were posting constant **** about Calzaghe, saying he wasn't even British just a Welsh fighter and (since the Lacy fight) their ****riding him so much that now even going as low to claim he's english.
English ala glory hunters. Their own boxers like Hatton and froch are jokes. Joe is now englis it don't matter that neither of his parents are english and Calzaghe himself has said constantly throughout his career that he's Welsh.
Yeah and this video above shows Calzaghe really like the english don't he, more like he detests them and the english crowd.

Wales & England have seperate as well as joined histories with different customs and language.
Even in France there are different territories with varied language as well although in some places these have started to die out and be replaced by french for the simple reason of economics.
The problem with some americans and canadians like yourself you can't understand the differences in culture because on a Global scale your countries are in their infancies and made up themselves of various European cultures.

Most of us do know the fans will be different. Hatton had the english limey football lowlife fans. In vegas I wa cringing listeing to the limies singing that cringworthy 'winter wonderland'. Calzaghe will not get this crap as he's not english.
Probably the same with that fraud Clinton woods. From ehat I know of england, when he fights Tarver, most of his fans will be the english Yorkshire sheep shagging northern monkeys. I remeber the difference compared to Hatton when the Lennox Lewis fans came over, most were Londoners.Comment
