Nate Campbell is doing some serious jaw-******* here.

Juan Diaz has beat Julio Diaz and Acelino Freitas most recently and i think (without even going further in his fight history) that those are the two most important fighters he's fought...and those are two very good fighters he's fought.

diaz doesnt have long arms like campbell so campbell will try to utilize the jab to keep diaz away but if diaz gets inside its his fight.

Juan Diaz is (in my opinion) a very quick fighter with a VERY high workrate.

If diaz can get around the arm disadvantage its his fight.

he's younger; faster; and though his punches are as jaw cracking as say mike tyson's uppercuts he's still got the advantage because he outworks you and wears you down with combination after combination.

    juan has fast hands also.

he's only 24 and the unified champion.

unless campbell plans on relying on something other than the power of his punches and a reach advantage he wont win the fight...a hard punch and arm length isnt all that will win you a fight against diaz...he's going to have to stay busy against diaz and stay away...

Regardless of who wins this fight, there is something to be said of Diaz's opposition lately. Diaz has fought guys like Lakva Sim, Randy Suico, Angulo, people with slow feet that have to trade with Diaz. These guys have to fight a younger man's fight because they can't move. Campbell is a different fighter, if not categorically better.

People talk about Freitas. Freitas came out of retirement, how motivated could he have been? Terry Norris beat the crap out of Ray Leonard, yet we don't mention that as one of his crowning achievements. Julio Diaz? Diaz was very vulnerable and took the highest paycheck. Could you blame him? He came into the fight with very little left in the tank.

What is to be made of Billy Irwin as a title defense? He came into the fight saying he would retire, win or lose. I think more is made of Diaz than is defendable. But then again, that's my opinion.

the Bold part is rediculous. Julio was talkin smack all week and came to win the fight. Juan just ****** the will out of him.

Diaz is much faster then Campbell, and cambpell is much more washed up then JUlio Diaz was.

Diaz forces his opponents into fights and he is going to be beating the ever loving crap outta Cambell in the later rounds of the fight. I think it will be entertaining and action packed for the first few rounds, and Diaz might get hurt or KDed early, but i doubt he will get KOed. TO much in front of him.

first off, your opinions dont mean ****..but anyway

Freitas came out of retirement...? did you actually think he retired?? everyone knew he was coming back, a retired Freitas would of still beat top rated fighters in his weight class, its not like he looked like **** in the fight, Diaz was just too much for him, and HE did NOT QUIT, ****** commentators ****ed it all up, it was his trainer that didnt want him to continue so he called it off..

Why are you talking **** about Suico? wasnt your ****** ass rooting for him and saying he was gonna beat Diaz?? yes he ****ing sucks but thats not my point... you change your opinions about a fighter once they lose, once campbell loses your gonna be talking some **** about him later on. loser go wash the dishes, im done eating.

Talking smack means very little. Jerson Ravelo was talking so confidently, he could've won an election with the way he stated his case before his fight with Allan Green. To mention smack talk is ridiculous. I knew, you knew, even Nat Fleischer who has been dead for years was calling a Juan Diaz victory in that fight. Julio Diaz was all done in after his loss to Jose Luis Castillo.

It's easy to force (in order) an old Julio Diaz, a retired Acelino Freitas, Fernando [Never heard of him] Angulo, a slow footed-Randy Suico, retired Billy Irwin, slower-than-Suico-Lakva Sim, into fighting his fight. These are hand-picked guys in excellent conditions. It's not even that Campbell is a wunderkind, but that Diaz is a style that doesn't last very long. He's had his way with guys that stand in front of him, what kind of boxer-punchers has he been fighting? A style like Casamayor a few years ago or even a Jose Luis Castillo would've convinced me otherwise, but this is a style he's never been confronted with.
