I think that winky will be better now he is coming down to a more natural weight. IMO winky has a real chance to best Pavlik, he has a good chin and a strong defense and he can punch pretty well so i think that this is a dangerous fight for Kelly, more so than Jermain in my opinion.

    Peace

EDIT- I didnt mean that Winky is a hard puncher i meant that he can box well and his shots flow well.

Yeah, but can he work for 3 minutes of every round at this stage of his career, he's not getting any younger and lately he's turned into more of an action fighter who leaves himself open a bit more than when he was younger.

This should be a good fight It could go either way but I think kelly pavlik would just edge it although winky wright could win.

Yh thats true, i think his strongest chances of victory are his constant jab and strong defense as i see it. I don;t think he would need to work all 3 mins but he would have to maintain a constant pace. Even if he is getting older, this is still a fight that Pavlik could lose.

True, I think Winky could make it difficult for him but I see Pavlik coming out on top in the end.

I'm not so sure. Kelly mainly untilizes a 1-2 combo and i'm sure that Winkys defense could keep thise off him and the jab could relly cause him trouble and posssibly hurt him, Pavlik was hurt by Jermain and he isn;t really a puncher is he? I think Winky might be able to get Pavlik down, although i doubt it but i think that Winky might outbox him to a points win. Although if Kelly can expands his punching repitoire then i will give him a better chance.

Pavlik won't get hurt by Winky, he hasn't knocked anyone out much less hurt anyone in 5 years, Taylor is a bigger puncher than Winky.

I think Pavlik's 1-2's can be effective in this situation, he's a big, strong, powerful middleweight and his 1-2's could go straight through Winky's guard, I don't think Winky has faced such a big puncher in his career, what's going to happen when Pavlik's punches consistently hits Winky's arms?

PS. I don't think Tito punches as hard as Pavlik at 160.

I dunno but if Winky keeps hitting him with jabs all night long who knows, it only takes one shot to land perfectly. I must say i disagree with you though, i do not believe Pavliks basic 1-2 punching will get him through he needs to add more to it.

Could be an interesting fight, and it could be harder for Kelly then he thinks. But I still pick him in a close fight.
