You do realize that in 54 fights over his 19 year professional career that Hopkins has only been knocked down in one fight and that was 13 years ago? Joe might have had a tiny, very tiny chance back before he hurt his hands, but has had to rely on volume punching with more speed, but less power, ever since. His only chance of stopping Bernard would be a bad stoppage from the referee, much like the Manfredo one.

So is it mainly the age thing?

if joe tries to knock popkins out, he'll get headbutted or punched in the groin. calzaghe's bird won't like that too much

Men, 13 years ago, Hopkins was young and strong. now he is to old an he is risking get in injured agaist Calzaghe. Like I said i'm not trying to take anything away from the guy.He have donde a lot, he is 42 and still one of the best, but Calzaghe is way younger, Stronger Faster, name it. I think it will be a late KO base on accumulation of punishment

Hopkins wasn't too old for Winky Wright who is younger than Calzaghe. Has he really aged that much in 6 months?

How you compare Calzaghe's Overwhelming Fast pace Style to Winkys slow, defensive, counter puncher Style. Is not the same thing having some body blocking some of you shots while wating to land 1 or 2 good ones to somebody who will move ,duck, slip and block your shots while trowing from 70 to 80 Punches a round (dont think he'll be able to throw the 100+ per round against Hopkins) landing like 45% of them on a 43 year old's face and body.
