Order Showtime or pay 24.95 for fight?

I tried ordering Showtime today for the fight on saturday. The lady tells me that I have to get a 3 MONTH contract for showtime.. and if I cancel they will still charge it to me. She told me my other option is just to purchase the fight on PPV

Has anybody else been told this?

That sucks. I would order Showtime but I only want it for the fights, which I can just go over to my uncle's house to see.

Sooooooo............I guess my post wasn't really helpful.

        It was DirecTV...

I still will probably just order the subscription, since the Dawson-Johnson fight is coming up as well. I was just surprised that they would only let me order the channel on a 3 month contract.

If it wasn't for the NFL ticket, I think i would go back to Comcast

My buddy use to just call up directtv and order showtime with the automated system right before a fight, then cancel through the automated system the next day, and he was never charged extra. I wonder if they've changed because of people like him?

I'm pretty damn sure it was Directtv anyways...

I got Showtime just for boxing a year ago and now I watch all sorts of shows on it and the movies are decent too. Im into shows like Dexter, Weeds, Brotherhood and Tudors. It's good if you like movies and those series shows. I enjoy it now almost as much as HBO.

just order showtime, the first saturday of every month is championship boxing, and every niht they show Sowtime classic fights. its well worth the 10 dollars a month. not to mention SHOBOX comes on i think 2 fridays a month. it might be 1, but i think its 2.

Showtime has some great shows, Dexter is one of my favorite for sure.

Hey incufan any word when Linares is fighting next?

Some crazy stuff about that kid, I was listening to a program and this boxing historian was already touting him as a HOF.
