Why does Floyd get hate but Cotto doesnt?

i just think cotto is the most protected champion out there. He is a dirty fighter, his best fights were over an old washed up zab, old and past his prime Shane and the after torres he fought nothing but feather fisted fighters and yes Quintana is included along with Paulie, Urkal, and Branco. never gave Torres a rematch (and yes torres did ask for one). I mean what has this guy done to be in the position to be rated as high as he is? What, look good in the past year and a half against old washed up fighters? Mosely beat Vargas 2X and was on his way to losing he first one. Then he beat Collazo who lost to ricky. Whoopdi ****in doo. Zab lost to Floyd, Baldy, and lloked like **** his comeback fight on espn2. I just dont like Cotto because it is obvious to see that they are hyping him up to get one HUGE payday and make their money. I just think he is all hype when when he doesnt deserve it. They say Floyd hasnt beatin any top WW as in Kermit, Margs, Clottey, and etc. Well who Has Cotto beatin out of them? No one. But people are too biased too see it.

Out of all the of the welterweights, Cotto has not beaten any.
    Paul Williams
    Clottey
    Margarito
    Cintron

Why does Floyd get hate when Cotto doesnt? they say Floyd hasnt fought any top WW, well Cotto hasnt either. Tell me the truth, is it because of Floyd Additude?

but Cotto hasnt beaten any of the top WW either. Now I'll give it to him, he is the person that should be next in line for Floyd. But why the hate for Floyd and not for cotto? Neither of them have beat Cintron, clottey, williams, or margs. the top 4 consensus WWs

Being the P4P best comes bigtime haters. Look at other sports like Baseball and Football. In Baseball the Yankees are hated probably the most and in Football even though the Cowgirls have tons of fans there is about an equal amount of haters.

I think its because Cotto has steadily increased his level of comp. and has consistently displayed a willingness to fight whoever is out there. When asked who he wants to fight, Cotto always says that he'll fight whoever his management puts in front of him, and that he is simply concerned with training and performing at his best. Also, I think there is a sense that Cotto and his people are working towards making the big fights (Mosely-Cotto was in fact a big Welterweight fight), but it is seldom easy to put the big matchups together. He appears primed to fight the winner of Cintron-Margarito after Gomez, and he likely would've faced Marg. by now if it wasn't for the WBO moving to strip Marg if he didn't fight PW.

Floyed on the other hand fights only handpicked opponents, and there is the perception that he is intent on avoiding risks in order to keep his 0 intact. While it can be said that the ODLH fight was a bit of a risk, the risk:reward ratio was clearly enough to compensate for the risk involved.

When your're the best people want to see you lose, simple as that. If Cotto were to beat Floyd, people would start to hate Cotto, and if Floyd were to beat Cotto, people will just find another fighter Floyd is "ducking". Look at Jermaine Taylor, as soon as he lost, he got more fans for fighting hard, blah blah blah, I think people just hate greatness, because they want to be able to relate.

thats not entirely true. Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Roger Federor (whatever), Kareem Abdul Jabar, all great and mostly loved by all.
