Roach on why Pacquiao-Juan Diaz isn't happening

"Juan Diaz is with Don King right now and just can't get his career together right now."

He says Hatton is a real possibility with a tentative deal in place. You can read more tonight in my interview with Freddie Roach.

juan is in his last fight with don kming. at the gym the talks are that juan wants the fight with Pac. I see juan at the gym every day, and IMO i think he can take Pac.

So basically after Juan gets rid of Don King then Pac is available to fight him.

Is Juan gonna sign to Top Rank once he gets out of the King contract?

I read somewhere that he was likely to either go with DiBella or Golden Boy. Think he'd match up better with Top Rank though

I thnk Golden Boy is better for him personally. He should've signed with Golden Boy a long time ago.

Yeah but seeing what GB is doing to Ponce DeLeon, makes me think Juan should be cautious about going there

The problem is that there is less they can do with Ponce as opposed to Diaz. Diaz is undefeated and hasn't had bad performances like Ponce did with Penalosa and Caballero. You can put Diaz in with anyone, whereas you need to be careful with Ponce.

This should fullfill his obligations with King. Their association has been a disaster for Diaz. You would think people would eventually learn from others mistakes...
