Why fight your brothers when they are 5 or 6. Wait until they get older and pose a threat. Thats why he hasnt defended against a "Middle" welter. Floyd is the top so I would consider everyone else middle class welters.

Cintron definitely isn't the best or close to the best in the Welterweight division, but I agree with him on Floyd. Floyd is only looking for paydays which is understandable, but Cotto would give him a huge payday, and he avoids him. Cotto could fight twice this year against top Welterwieghts, but he doesn't. Instead one big payday against Oscar is enough for him. I hope 2009 is different.

what like floyd is dodging kermits sorry ass, **** him every one can takl and say what they want to say, there is no reason for floyd to fight anybody besides cotto. **** everyone else. the only way they get a shot at floyd is if they beat cotto. I hate coto, but i give him props, he is the best welterweight out there besides Floyd. Point, Blank, Period.

Once again I fail to understand people.
I like to see my favorite fighters fight all the time.
Floyd fans seem to have thousands of excuses as to why their favorite SHOULDN'T fight the top contenders near him.
I don't care if it's a walk over or a tight one. I want to see Floyd smash the division. Not *****foot around the weaker fighters at higher weights.

thats bull****. floyd keeps retiring so obviously he doesnt want to fight the threat that they are now_ or the "bigger threat" they'll be later.

Ban DLH-Mayweather 2...this is a bull**** ass fight no1 wants to see.

He has a point, how can you be regarded as the best in a weight division when you refuse to face the best? Floyd has fought a grand total of 2 true welterweights in his career, Judah and Baldimor (though Judah had only fought 6 times at the weight). Judah was coming off a loss; Baldi was full of heart but not much else. Aside from that he's taken on two Junior WWs, one of whom (Mitchell) was badly faded at the time. Based on his achievements against real welterweights (or Junior WWs for that matter, with the exception of Hatton who had to move up to get the fight) Mayweather really hasn't done jack **** in the division.

In a way Kermit is right because out of the top welters right now Floyd hasn't faced any of them. At the same time though he backed out of a fight with Williams. I know his hand was jacked up, but was it really that bad. I know people call Floyd a coward and stuff like that, but at this moment I don't think he's afraid to fight those guys. I think he just wants to make money. Look at this WWE thing now. Do you really think he would be wrestling if there wasn't a huge amount of money involved. He changes his name to Money Mayweather. Unfortunately I don't think he worries about fighting the best, but whether which fighter can make him the most money.
