why are alot of Americans so hyper-sensitive about their precious national anthem?

As a country, they have profited immensely from the misery of others. They have sponsered wars, nuked, tried to asassinate leaders in countries thousands of miles away, tried to overthrow governments and install democracy, and they have the AUDACITY to complain about people booing their anthem.

Everyone should boo their ****ty national anthem. I have never read so much BS from a bunch of hypocritcal pu$$ies .

You can't tar all Americans with the same brush, same as you can't tar all Brits as booing thugs. The Regan doctrine of intervention was a response to the Soviet interventions in Hungary and Czechoslovakia and, like it or not their huge spending on arms and general economic strength made the soviets realise that the game was up (although ***** seems to be taking them down a shady path). OK Bush hasn't been great, but Clinton had the chance to take Osama out but dithered for so long he moved lairs, Clinton also refused to intervene in the Rwandan genocide. Although us Brits stood alone for a while, it was the USA economy and Russian manpower that won WW2 (7 out of 10 German soldiers were killed on the eastern front).

Take a look at the number of Nobel prizes 300 plus the US has won, they have made a massive contribution to civilization, they've only lost their way a little under Bush and the Evangelical Right, but they'll be back. Surely respecting a national anthem is a little courtesy we can all spare.

Also the Welsh national anthem kicks arse and makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, it pisses on GSTQ for passion.

Thanks mate, sometimes you just have to bite your lip and remember that there are great posters on here from all over the globe (Finland for example has given us the walking encyclopaedia that is the Manchine).

'm not flaming but I imagine that if a bunch of americans had went over to England and booed "God Save the Queen," before the Brits booed America's anthem. The Brits would have also made a stink.

The welshies would boo God Save the Queen with a gusto that you sad sacks can only dream of, like I give a ****. In a ****hole principality like Wales there are only four things to do, boo the British national anthem, **** sheep, visit castles and boo the british national anthem while ****ing a sheep in a castle.

We dont care about ours, nor anyone elses national anthem. In fact, most of us hate ours. Nor do we care about a flag...its just a flag. Its just a song.
