No way does he have 5 more fights. I think he will have 3 max with the last one being a safe fight to secure his legacy.

Hopkins, Jones and Pavlik or Woods.

For the sake of his legacy I think he needs at least one more mega fight after Hopkins, maybe even 2. I think he should go Hopkins, wait and see on a Pavlik fight otherwise Roy Jones Jr. or Chad Dawson!!!!

IMO he'll retire after the Hopkins fight, anyway.
There's not a whole lot of people to face and nobody who coule trouble him. If Pavlik takes the fight he'd be ruined, so I hope he's got more sense.

After Hopkins, I can only see a Woods title fight in the Millennium stadium being worthwhile, and I never thought I'd use the words Woods and worthwhile in the same sentence describing the biggest fight out there.

People don't realise how old 36 is in boxing. Hopkins is a legend in his own right for fighting on to 43 but 36 is quite old boxing wise. Joe Calzaghe has already dipped from his peak and after 5 fights he could be nothing, like Jones all of a sudden. Calzaghe is smart and he wont risk that.

From what i've heard Calzaghe is quite similar to Bernard in terms of lifestyle. He doesn't drink much and is a bit of a gym rat, he really looks after himself - take note Ricky. I could see him fighting on for 2 more years.

He likes abit of wine in small quant (though nearly daily) and the odd pint.

He eats an awful lot of ****, though, lots of sweet ****. And doesn't train at all between fights (which is about six months for Joe and has been for 11 years). He's been a part-time world champion in a way.

No way will he fight on for 2 years. His legacy is what he is more interested in now, he won't risk a slip in form or age catching up with him.

I honestly believe him when he says he wants to retire undefeated. He also has said on more than one occasions that the Hopkins fight could even be his last.

I love Eubank's jaw shape in your avatar pic, son.

                  He's got a lovely jaw.

Calzaghe is nothing like Hopkins in lifestyle. Calzaghe went drinking with Hatton for example after Hatton got KOed by Floyd. Calzaghe goes up to 200lbs when he's not fighting.

200lbs is exaggerating think, yes he has to cut down to his weight like most fights, but not THAT much. I think it's more like 180-190. If Joe weighed as much as a heavyweight i think it would be VERY noticeable. He went out for a drink with Ricky in Vegas, big deal, i'm sure even Hopkins socialises now and then. From all accounts i've heard when he's not in training he keeps going on runs and doesn't socialise that much.
