i forgot to add that the austin fight was boring as all hell too. ive see write ups that classified it as "exciting with both men hitting the canvas"

pure horse****.

that fight was terrible, and a perfect example of what sultan has become was when he knocked austin down early in that fight and basically made no effort to follow up and get rid of him.

I honestly was a little surprised how bad the reaction has been. I knew people would come out torching him just because hes a polarizing figure on the board... but i watched the fight with 6 other people who arent serious boxing fans and their unbiased reaction was that it wasnt a very good fight, mostly cause of sultans style. its funny my friends really got a kick out of wlad jabbing the **** out of sultan, and the jab is usually more respected by hardcore fans than the typical guy off the street.

yeah they wanted to see the knockout, who didnt? but they werent bitching me out for wasting an hour of their lives... plus how many of the people on here crying about the fight actually had something better to do with their saturday night... maybe 10%?

although we are spoiled by seeing wladimir send opponents to the floor lifeless, there are some positive things we can focus on.

example - how many times have anybody here seen a boxer get beat with one punch? not to mention an undefeated champ with a good amateur profile.

and, wladimir's speed was off the ****ing charts. where are all the fans and pundits who said iggy was quicker and more skilled? ha!

i got a kick out of the category based analysis... honestly if youre gonna give klitschko the advantage in every single thing there is no point in doing one.

so anyone doing one had to look at it and say to themself..

"hmmmm, which category can i make some kind of logical, yet untrue, argument as to sultans superiority????"

some hard thinking and a couple ****tails and POOF! the light bulb comes on.

"yes of course... speed and quickness!!! i can say wlad is Bigger therefore he must be slower.... whew! **** i thought i was gonna have to scrap the whole thing there for a minute."

Wlad was much bigger, and much stronger, a little pressure wouldnt have hurt. It was obvious when he threw he could hit Sultan so it had nothing to do with Sultan being slick. Wlad was afraid to get countered, he said it himself so he fought scared and did what he had to do to get the easy win. Smart, maybe, but not the thing that is expected by one of the biggest and strongest heavyweight champions ever, especially against a much smaller opponent. And the slapping of Sultans hand was a joke too, hopefully he lost all of his HBO dates, i mean even Manny knew it was bad so i dont see how his fans cant see that.
