How can you get knocked out 78 times?

I was looking at Tony Thompson's record and came across this guy (Tony's 16th fight)

    http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php...3395&cat=boxer

The guy retired with a record of 17-120-5 with 78 of his losses coming by way of knockout.

How did the boxing commission keep letting this guy fight?

I've always wondered that. There was one guy on the board that fought a guy that was like 5-80, IDK how that happens. How does the powers that be, the trainers, and the fighter let this happen. How would you keep fighting?

I mean unless the guy is just getting paid to lay down the first time he gets tapped, it would seem like he would be eating through a straw after about 40 KO's.

                Chris Byrd knocked him out.

Someone give this guy to Zuri Lawrence.

No kidding. I saw Zuri's record when he fought Rahman and thought it was a misprint. How a 6'4", 240 lb heavyweight can have 23 wins without a single knockout is beyond me. Doesn't say much for Rahman now that this guy made him look bad.
