I dont agree. golota is an absolute statue. wlad can be somewhat robotic at times but his footwork is much better than golota's. golota also tended to come in dry and unprepared as he did with both lewis and brew. wlad at least has enough professionalism to warm up and break a sweat before the fight begins. opponents connect percentage is low on wlad but much higher with golota. wlad is just much harder to hit consistently

Wlad's defense is better than Golota's but Golota's chin is much better and he was very techincally sound. They both have alot in common. They both freeze up under pressure and they are both on the stiff side, although Golota is the more fluent relaxed boxer of the two. If Golota was not intimidated, i would actually favor the Galota that fought Bowe to beat the current Wladimir. He definatley had the tools.
Also, unlike Wladimir, Golota goes to the body and puts his punches together more, while Wladimir is more patient and looks for the right moment to unleash the big right hand.Last edited by slicksouthpaw16; 02-25-2008, 07:40 AM.Comment

lmao , no way. Lewis was only knocked out twice in his career and both were against phenomonal puncher in Oliver Mccall and Rahman. his chin is extremely underrated.Comment

lewis was knocked out once, the mcall fight should of continued, he was back to his feet at 7. lewis would also enjoy a 4 inch reach advantage over wlad. Like you say, lewis' chin is actually very goodComment

I thought the McCall fight was an OK stoppage, he got up at 7 but he was wobbling all over the place and was leaning on the referee for support.Comment

i can see what your saying, but as the champ on home turf you'd be disappointed if you weren't given the opportunity to continue.... especially when your up at 7. thats not to say mcall wouldn't of finished him but it was slightly premature imoComment

I think the old Wlad might be more trouble for Lennox. Wlad used to be a lot less cautious and would let his hands go. It's just in the past couple years that he has started to get really technical. I can't see Wlad out boxing Lennox prime for prime.
I would go with Lennox by KO in the later rounds.Comment
