Lewis started off that fight by making his mark on Tua by letting him taste the right hand several times, Wlad didnt throw it until around the 5th round and certainly wasnt as adventurous, he took no risks at all whereas Lewis did in the beginning of that fight by throwing the right and just evading Tua`s left.
You have to consider that styles make fights. Tua and Ibragimov are two competely different fighters. You could compare Tua to Mike Tyson at best, a pressure fighter coming forward who you can work off. Ibragimov is not that guy, he was a counter puncher waiting for Wlad to make a mistake so he can take adantage of it.

Wlad did not make any mistakes and therefore it was a boring fight. Ibragimov didn't risk anything himself which means he didn't give Wlad anything to work with either. Lets all take into consideration that Wlad has 50 wins, 45 by knockout. That's only 5 fights he went the distance. All those crazy knockouts he delivered time and time again. If there is a time to go to distance for once, it's against a no nonsense, undefeated world champion like Ibragimov.

He was nothing to play with.

I picked the Tua fight because this fight is one that people point to in defence of Wlad by saying that every fighter has just done enough and been boring. Plus Tua was a dangerous opponent in that he could have ko`d Lewis, Sultan isnt a knockout artist in any way shape or form yet Wlad was terrified to do anything.

In the heavyweight division, anybody can get knocked out by anybody at any given time if a punch is landed clean. This isn't the lower weight divisions, lets not forget that. These are the big boys.

Ibragimov has 22 wins, 17 by ko. This wasn't just some showcase fight for Wlad to give the american fans excitement, this was an important fight. You win and you look good next time. They're not gonna give you performances that the feather, light, jr and welterweight divisions give you....bar none. Brewster/Lyakovich and Tua/Beabudhi are exceptions to the norm. Either the knockout comes and everybody is happy or it doesn't. In this case it didn't happen.

In regards to that, Wlad is still the most exciting heavyweight out there because he is the one who basically knocks every opponent out when he fights. Today it didn't happen, **** it, lets give the guy a break.
