wlad did a good job at cutting of sutlans jab but i knew straight away that sultan would loss he was just standing at mid range trying to counter wlad and that was never gonna work. I agree with the sky commintators that wlad has the ability but not the heart the only time sultan landed with a good punch and wlad panicked he just didn't imo want to get hurt. Since the brewster fight wlad has not actually had that many exciting fights, the brock fight was boring until the ko, he kept holding on against peter the 2nd byrd fight wasn't that good until the ko, Some people support wlad and i have nothing against that but he is just not the sort of heavyweight i like.

      The first line was funny.

Then came the disrespectful "as a matter of factly, I'm better than you" type of generic answer we see in here all the time.
And it would be a real shame to get hit once in awhile in the sport of boxing,
can't imagine why anyone would be so ****** to actually get hit!

With a 10 feet longer reach, there's just no excuse for not throwing any right hands.

You see a post you don't agree with and answer it in this fashion, then goes on to call the man a "****ing ******"...

To finish it all of, you went out of your way on the last word, as if to shrug it all off like you owned him and continues on your path of ignorance.

Good luck, can't wait for Addison to feel owned and outwitted by such a great post.
First, I apologize for the "******" comment. That was excessive.

      Now then,

Not surprisingly, you're logic is skewed. I said that when you throw a right like Wlad does, and miss, you leave yourself exposed to recieve a powershot yourself.

How exactly does that equate to never throwing a single punch? It doesn't but you stretched it to try and make your argument make sense. The title of this thread is about why Wlad didn't throw the right any more than he did. And I explained why.

Obviously, if you can throw a punch that doesn't put you in danger of a counter punch when you miss, then you should throw it. The way he threw the jab.

No one said anything about not thrwoing punches, and you skewed what I said to try and back your statement up. And you failed.

        Back what statement up?
Simply it was to put your mentality on the edge. Nothing more, nothing less.
It might have been a poor choice of words, I can give you that.

But there was no statement that I wanted to highlight, thus there's no logic that can be skewed.

But you explained why Wlad wasn't throwing the right hand more like you actually KNOW.
But you don't know. You think.

You engaged in the discussion with the attitude that what Addison was saying was false and utterly off the mark.
And you put forward your own idea of the matter like it was a fact, and refused to even consider the possibility of what Addison suggested.

You can do better than this, I've seen it before.

I respect you for apologizing, that takes some good sense right there.

do you honestly think that a man who has been in over 50 professional fights, was AFRAID to throw a punch? There's nothing wrong with being cautious. But caution does not = fear.

What he is saying, Wlad said himself on the post fight interview with Max, he didn't wanna throw and miss because he would be left open for counters.

I'm amazed that noone noticed how sharp and fast both fighters were. I don't think Wlad feared Sultans power but he had a lot respect of his speed, just compare him to Chagaev or Povetkin, Sultan is much faster. He tried to lure Wlad into a trap and people accuse Wlad for not walking right into it. Wlad was very, very disciplined and fought a very smart fight.
I'd really like to see Sultan against Chagaev/Povetkin, I don't think they can handle his style.
Just rewatch some scenes of this fight, as a boxing fan, I'm pretty amazed by the speed and overall awareness of both fighters and how Wlad solved this puzzle.

i can't help but be amazed at how many of you say wlad sucks, and is boring based on 1 fight! the guy has 44ko's in 50 fights! he won easy, and although not flash, he boxed his way to an easy win.

his early fights were exciting but since the brewster fight he has not been so exciting.
