it would have to be someone like he hasnt seen before. he has beat fighters like cotto before (though not in their prime like cotto is). im going to go with cintron would give him the best good fight. Cintron has the size that everyone said paul williams would give floyd problems, plus floyd has never fought anyone that has that much power.

Would he be favored against anyone? Of course.
Are any other fighters a threat to Floyd? Of course.
Judah caught him and was beating him early. Corley caught him with a big punch, and Corley isn't considered a KO artist. Had a big puncher caught him like that it, it could have been over. De La Hoya's jab had him in trouble.
Fighters who pose a credible threat to Mayweather
Miguel Cotto - because of his accuracy and body punching.
Shane Mosley - because of his speed.
Vernon Forrest - because of his jab, and boxer-puncher style.
Juan Diaz - because of his accuracy and high workrate, as well as pretty good defense. Hell, there isn't even a big weight advantage for Floyd in this fight.
Kermit Cintron - because of his power, but only a small puncher's chance.
Cory Spinks - because leftys are the solution to the Floyd shell, and his slick boxer style with a good jab attack could give Floyd trouble.
Would I bet on any of these guys against Floyd? Not likely, but they are do have a conceivable shot to beat him.

Most of the top 10 are a threat to Floyd but his largest threat would be Vernon. I still think Vernon always had the style to beat Floyd. I don't see Cotto being able to pull it off but he IS the most logical opponent at the moment.

I think its cotto i mean people dont realise how smart of a boxer he is and how much power he has.
Mayweather is a very technical boxer but so is cotto thats why he could rival him more then anyone and if mayweather is inactive to long then takes a fight with cotto hes going to have alot of trouble.
Because cotto is a late starter so he would have to be prepared for a long night and hes done alot of damage to his last opponents.
How he broke down judah was sickening he didnt even knock him down first time judah jus dropped from being so tired and beat up this is the same judah that gave mayweather alot of problems.
Mayweather has trouble with pressure fighters imo and there isnt any better then cotto at the moment that whole ricky hatton myth was just for fans and money we all knew ricky wudnet win.
A Mayweather-Cotto fight will appeal to fans of a blue collar work ethic and fans of high level competition in addition to any fan who just wants to see who will win. IMO, if given the proper amount of time to simmer in people's imagination this fight between Mayweather and his one true rival will be a HUGE event.
Cotto is the only guy who has a right to call Floyd out right now. BUT imagine how amped people are going to get when Cotto win 3 more fights and you really don't know if Mayweather is going to beat him.

Cotto, that's basically it. I don't see Marg, Williams OR Cintron beating him. Maybe in a few years Andre Berto could have a decent shot?

At 154, there's more probable people who could beat Floyd, but at Welter I don't see many besides Cotto. At 154 Floyd could potentially lose to:
Forrest
Wright
Spinks
