Joe Calzaghe has just lost 200 points on their rankings. I know it doesn't mean much but really, how can Hopkins have 2300 points when Calzaghe has 1300? Kelly Pavlik has 1800 too.

Box Rec is UK based.. so I think that might blow away your theory..

It doesn't distinguish what fighters achieved at various weight classes. For instance, Hopkins's win over Oscar earned him more points, most likely, on their system than any other win either has had, even though it was the easiest fight either of them have had.

Boxrec is good for looking up fighters records, schedules, etc. but their ranking system is flawed and useless...

I'll agree with that, except IMO their schedule is useless too, at least on a long term basis.

They have Felix Trinidad as the best Super Middleweight ever, he hasn't even fought there!

Surely you jest??? He'd end up showing his rusty Sheriff's badge to any of the top five in that division
