Whenever he knocks someone down, they seem to fly back a few feet.
But it really never seems like they are lights out hurt either.
I do think that he has lost some of the clubbing power that he had in the lower weight classes, but it has been replaced by power that is generated by how fast he is.
Everyone talked about how iron of a chin Erik Morales had. You could definately make the case that the knockdowns in the rematch were from pure exhaustion, which was actually said on the air.
In the rubber match, Morales got knocked down three times, and every time he fell back a few feet, but he was always conscious of where he was and what he was doing. I think he quit, not because he was seriously hurt, but because he knew he couldn't deal with the speed, especially in his starved body.
Does anyone else agree, or do people still believe he has clubbing one-punch power?
