Yeah but Vernon beat a younger, better version of Mosley, and doesn't seem to have faded that much since then, so......

this is what i saw, based on his last two outings,
forrest is scared to get tagged he has that beating on the back of his mind,
remember he had shoulder problems, he is not the same and also he is @ 154lbs now, which is not the same, the forrest i remember is the one that beat mosley, but the thing is he is not like that now

I'm not saying he could beat Mayweather, just saying it would be interesting and as competitive as most any other matchup out there for Floyd right now. I wonder how much better Vernon's career would have been in he never fought Mayorga, who just seemed to have his number. He wasted two years after those fights.

I agree with the post,but i dont think Floyd takes that chance. The only way Forrest could possibly get a shot is to fight and dominate Miguel Cotto,then talk some trash afterwards about you were afraid to fight Cotto. Look what i did to him. He's going to have to do what Tarver did to Roy Jones and thats get under his skin.

Sitting back and being nice won't get him a shot at Floyd.
