If you don't think you are receiving your deserved entertainment, take it up with the television company not the fighters.
That doesn't make any sense. Its the fighters providing the action. They are the ones doing the "entertaining".

        • ell me you're joking. lets say a trend of fights started like this for the next couple of years. business executives would realize less and less people were interested in the sport. therefore there would be less fights available for you to watch.

w/o entertaining fights the sport dies.
By your own logic, because people demand "entertainment" if the fighters aren't exciting the sport dies. That's not the fighter's fault, that's the fans fault because they are demanding "excitement".

If people simply appreciated boxing for what it is, there would be far more boxing on tv.

              • My roommate and I watched the Bowe/Holyfield trilogy yesterday. He is starting to watch boxing and somewhat understand it. After 3 rounds he proclaimed that Bowe, Holyfield, and Lewis would beat the hell out of both guys tonight and would at least try to hit each other. Where he then went and finally did some laundry. I praised him for actually cleaning, and he said "If you ever want me to clean, just put that Kliyschko idiot back on TV". Very poignant

It was a bad style match up with one guy running and doing nothing...call it what you want...

If I was Wlad Id have no ****ing clue what to do but keep landing the jab.

                  • amazing how with just a jab you can win a fight. wlads jab is amazing, that and how ibragimov took all the punches very well, and yeah, when they both fell on the canvas xD.

but overall we all agree that it was a boring fight, wlad should have been able to ko ibragimov if just threw more rights and be more agressive. hope that next he fights the winner of peter - chagaev, and that that fight is nothing like this. well, at least he knows that it was a boring fight and he knows that he must do much much better on his next fight. even stweard told him that, and that was a good thing. and bt, wtf was the deal with ibragimovs corner, they never motivated him, never said anything useful to him. jeff mayweather sucks :S

I think I get the picture of the fight just from that. Less than 30 punches per isn't going to lure any new fans.
