Idk about you guys, but i cannot wait for this Joe Louis Doc. Ive been wating a long time now, i hear its amazing. Joe Louis is my favorite athlete of all time, no contest.

Idk if you heard about this, but HBO took out a 1 page ad in the newspaper and 70% of the page was advertising the Documentary, and the other 30% was for the fight.

....There was a full page add in USA today yesterday but it was 70% about Wlad/Sultan and 30% about the Louis documentary. You may have it reversed. Anyway, of course the fight is more important than a documentary about a guy who we are already well aware of his story.

There's nothing like watching a live fight, not knowing what's going to happen, documentaries will be replayed or can be downloaded. Definitely Wlad-Ibragimov.

In the sports section of the NY Daily News last night there were basically three pages for boxing.

One full page ad for Wlad/Sultan (half page) and the Louis doc (half page), then two pages later a full page ad for Wlad/Sultan ticket sales, then another page with two W/S articles.

And in the back a review of the Louis doc. 3 1/2 out of 4 stars

This is HBO making the movie, not ESPN or something like that. You know they get the best people in the business to work with them. Nothing against ESPN, but when they do a movie they do it on the cheap.

No, Wlad will win an exciting fight by brutal KO!

The boring decisions (example PBF vs. DLH, Alcine vs. Simms, Corey Stinks fights) happen in 147 and 154 weight divisions.

I actually enjoyed the Mancini documentary on ESPN more than this HBO one on Louis.

Probably because I've already seen and read about nearly all the things in the Louis one. The Mancini documentary had more lesser known things (including Ray having a fine daughter).
