Looks like old Wlad punched himself out and went down from exhaustion, much like Foreman did against Ali.
On a positive note, he lasted 4 rounds longer than Golota and 13 other guys did against Brewster.
It was more similar to Jefferson-Izon.
Ali was countering Foreman well off the ropes throughout the fight. It wasn't the "Foreman was dominating Ali until he tired" myth that it's been portrayed.
Similarly to Jefferson against Izon, Wlad was beating the bejesus out of Brewster, save for being stunned in the 3rd by a leaping straight left, until he just ran out of gas and collapsed.

Both were rather strange and unexpected.
I wasn't suggesting that the fights were similar, just that I don't think George was seriously hurt in that fight, he just punched till he couldn't lift his gloves, Ali caught him with some decent, crisp, shots and mostly knocked him off balance. George beat the count, imo, but he was finished in the fight.
i was watching this video earlier today but it was nothing more then his chin letting him down
It was a lot more than a chin problem. His gas tank hit empty very suddenly. I know that I can never have 100% confidence in him again, since that was the second time that happened to him in his career.

I'll have to check out that Jefferson/Izon fight.
Jefferson-Izon is kind of like Klitschko-Brewster I, only it was about twice as long.
Put it this way, the ass-kicking was bad enough that Merchant was calling for a stoppage.
more like a disturbing display of throwing too many punches and gassing out. he was a sitting duck at that point. he pretty much beat himself that night. props to brew tho for showing tremendous heart

It's ****** posts like this that discredit the Brewer. People think that it had nothing to do with Brews ability to take Wlad's punches, and come back to knock him out. Not everyone can take Wlad's punches untill he can't throw anything else. So it's not just that Wlad ko'd himself, it's just that Brew was able to take it, and come out on top. He was the better man that night.
