Haye: I can KO Enzo in 60 secs
DAVID HAYE fears the biggest British fight in 15 years could be over in 60 seconds. Haye says he will knock out Welshman Maccarinelli, 27, in their world cruiserweight unification bout in the first round.
The clash is the most eagerly awaited British punch-up since Eubank-Benn II in 1993 but Londoner Haye, 27, warned: “If Enzo comes in with the same sloppy attitude he has had in his last few fights it won’t go beyond a minute of the first.
“He got away with it against the cannon fodder he’s faced recently but I hope he raises his game against me.
“I hope he won’t have a false sense of security because the public deserve a decent fight.
“But either way the outcome is a foregone conclusion. I will be clinical, I will be ruthless, and I will take him out.”
London’s O2 Arena will be an 18,000-seat sell-out for the March 8 bout, which is on Setanta Sports.
