Klitschko Brothers Co-Headline Fall Event in Berlin?

Dmitri Sartison, 21-0, steps in for Jurgen Brahmer and fights Pablo Daniel Zamora Nieves tomorrow night in Halle an der Saale. As for why Brahmer pulled out, German media have been informed by Universum that it is because of an illness in the family. The show still shapes up insterestingly with the European debut of Colombian puncher Santander Silgado, 11-0 (11) as a possible highlight on the undercard. EBU light heavyweight champ Thomas Ulrich is the favourite against Yuri Barashian, but the Ukrainian southpaw is in with a good chance against the sometimes erractic German. [details]

Bild Zeitung reveals today the plans/dreams for a giant event in Berlin this Fall, but there are many, many pieces that must fall to place. First Wladimir Klitschko must beat Sultan Ibragimov, then his brother Vitali must successfully come back. If yes on both, we might see Wladimir Klitschko vs Alexander Povetkin and Vitali Klitschko vs the winner of Peter vs Maskaev in Berlin this fall. Possible? Well, it´s not impossible, is it?

for those not wanting to read all the other nonsense before and after.

that would be a ridiculous card!! (although they would stand as main events on their own) and then there's getting the opponents to agree, which they wont.

That would be a nice card and more than likely be on HBO. Hopefully this comes through, but we'll have to wait and see because Wlad still has to win and other factors as well.

I don't like this news; the article insinuates that after the Ibragimov fight, his next fight will be all the way in the ****in fall!...

WTF, if Klitscko wants to be the top guy in the division, as he's constantly been stating, then he needs to fight more than twice per year. Would it kill the ****in **** to fight three ****in times?...

Relax there homeboy, he could easily dispense of the WBO mandatory (Tony Thompson) in the meantime. He could fight in June/July and again in November, IF HBO allow him the date.

It was HBO's fault, if anyone's, that he fought only twice last year. Wlad was ready as he had only eight rounds in two fights and didn't get hit in either.

I guess I'm jumping the gun here; alot can happen during the year to persuade Klitschko to take a fight earlier, like WBA Champ Ruslan Chagaev putting his belt on the line for a unification bout. But, the thing that really bothers me, is that Klitschko could really do alot for his status as the best hw today and his place in history if he could fight that 'third' fight a year...

That would be a good card but I really don't think Vitali can make it through a training camp.

I like the sound of all of this! It would be huge in Europe and only strengthen Boxing around the world. Wlad vs Povetkin would have a lot of hype around it, but I give Wlad the nod on that one. Everyone has been waiting for Vitali's come back and against Maskaev or Peter is a great way to do it. I wouldn't reccomend it, seeing he has been inactive for so long, but it would be exciting.
