    The Quintana-Williams Effect

I know this fight is already kinda old but imma give you my thoughts anyway on whose stock was raised and whose stock was lowered after the result of this fight in which Quintana clearly outboxed one of the high regarded welterweights

    Stock went up
    1. Miguel Cotto- Cotto destroyed Quintana inside 5 rounds. Period.
    2. Joel Julio- Quintana outboxed Julio back in June of 2006, this was considered an upset but after looking at Quintanas skills it wasnt so bad.
3.Shane Mosley- Maybe after all his performance against Cotto wasn't so bad considering how good Cotto has destroyed pure boxers like Quintana.

    Stock went down
    1. Paul Williams- Along with Cotto was one of the top 2 to be considered for a potential Welterwight super fight with FLoyd Mayweather Jr. but not anymore and maybe not anytime soon.
    2. Antonio Margarito- Was beaten by Williams who was outboxed by Quintana who was KOed against Cotto. Yes, I know these boxing triangles arent nothing to trust in the sport of boxing, but could this mean something?

Outdated but I just thought Id ought to show you what an impact thos had on boxings premier division.

Interesting but styles make fights. Example if Margarito fought Quintanna, Margarito would win.

And one thing you didn't talk about is Williams didn't throw his ussall 100 punchs per round and the Margarito fight imo, took a little something out of Williams.

Mosley v. Cotto, please no rematch.

Triangular logic doesn't work when referring to Margarito. The man can destroy anyone in the welterweight division.

I can't buy that. He had like a 7-8 month lay off. He was well recoverd from that fight. His problem was that he didn't get off enough.

But styles do make fights. I don't think Cotto would go to war with Margarito. He would box Marg.

Quintana is my favourite. Hail the underdog.
