Superstar champion Miguel Cotto will be at a press conference in New York City on Monday, Feb 25 to discuss his upcoming title defense against The Contender's star Alfonso Gomez.
Cotto and Gomez will be at the press conference, as will IBF welterweight champion Kermit Cintron who will be defending against the Tijuana Tornado, Antonio Margarito, on April 12 at the historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.
This will be Cotto's third fight in Atlantic City, the first being a knockdown war against Ricardo Torres followed by a stoppage of Carlos Quintana. Both Torres and Quintana are now world champions.
Gomez won a huge fight in Atlantic City, stopping hometown hero Arturi Gatti who retired followed the fight last summer.
Cotto will defend his WBA welterweight title against Gomez. Cotto vs. Gomez and Cintron vs. Margarito will be televised on HBO.
Bob Arum of Top Rank, Jeff Wald of The Contender and Kathy Duva of Main Events will be at the press conference.
