What exactly does Kessler do to beat Bhop?

(I just wrote this whole ****ing post, but the forum had a loading error...ugh)

Alright, first off let me say this isn't a "Baww! I'm upset that someone picked Bernard Hopkins to lose" topic. I'm perfectly fine with that, but a lot of people think that Kessler would beat Bernard now and even in his prime.

What does Kessler do that would allow him do to so? He doesn't have above average speed that Taylor and Jones had. Kessler has great power and very good boxing skills, but I don't think that would be enough to get really to Bernard.

Also, from what I've seen, Kessler doesn't seem like he would be able to adapt to Bernard's "rough him up" style. He doesn't have the experience that seems like he could. I mean not even Winky Wright, could get used to it. Bernard was roughing up him up, made Winky's 1-2 uneffective, and Winky's agression somewhat ineffective (He lost some rounds because of it, but Winky never landed that cleanly except for a couple rounds). Kessler really couldn't adapt to Joe in where Joe started taking over.

So what exactly does Kessler do that makes him beat Bernard (easy)? Please educate me my fellow boxing fans

He talks to him about his hopes and dreams and asks BHOP not to crush them.

Kessler is a bigger stronger harder hitting and more techincal version of Jermaine Taylor.. Nuff said..

See more techincal, but is that necessarily a good thing? Because I'd say Winky Wright is pretty technical and yet he still wasn't able to do it.

Kessler is a hard hitter, but I'm just wondering if he could get Bernard's style to not bother him and win.

Kessler definitely has enough power to earn Hopkins respect. Hes not going to stop him, but he might make him think twice about leading his head, especially with uppercuts as crisp, clean and powerful as Kessler likes to throw. I dont think Kessler would beat him in his prime, and even now it would be close, I couldnt pick.

The uppercuts thing is interesting. I could see that working, but I think Bernard would still be able to do enough to get a decision win.

I'm not saying that Bernard would blow him out of the water, but I just don't think Kessler would win.

I agree, I don't see it happening either.

I will say though that Kessler does have a lot of room for improvement, so maybe in a couple years he will be more of a complete fighter, but until then:
              Prime Hipkins > Kessler
42 year old Hopkins > Kessler

Lol. Even if Kessler fought against Hopkins like Wright did then he would win. Wright is no where near the size of Kessler and has no where near as much power as him. Kessler would KO Hopkins if they went to war like that.

He is young enough to throw enough punches. I am not sure who I'd pick, but that would be the logic.

                    regarding winky

i think if winky and bhop wouldve fought at MW, winky wouldve won

if you watch the fight again after the 4th round you can see winky breathin heavily with his mouth wide open in between rounds. he was winning early on, despite the big gash in his head, despite bhop clinching so much, and despite not being able to use his jab.

bernard only caught up because winky couldnt hang on. by the 10th round winky was doing all the clinching, not cause it was his strategy, but b/c he was too tired

personally i had that fight a draw
