Who will be the TOP WW by the end of the year?

PBF seems will only fight ONCE IN 2008, ODLH on September. Meanwhile Cotto is bound to fight Gomez, the winner of Cintron-Margarito and posibly Mayorga or his mando.

IF COTTO WINS ALL FIGHTS, DOES HE AUTOMATICALLY BECOMES THE BEST WELTERWEIGHT DUE TO PBF INACTIVITY???
    42
    Cotto
    61.90%
    26
    PBF
    38.10%

and more than likely that's it if he is fighting 3x this year which i doubt if he loses

Ok, I understand you, but still IF COTTO WINS THEM ALL... is that enough on your mind to declare him the best or who else does he needs to defeat???

as long as PBF and cotto face each other this year then ill make up my mind.. the top 2 fighters fighting each other yeah thats a great match up

and PBF with a rematch with ODLH nah this wont add to being PBF being no.1 at WW, im sure that they will fight at 154

If Floyd ONLY fights De La Hoya this year then I'd say(as a Floyd fan) that Cotto is the top welterweight. When I say top I don't mean best. Cotto has done more at the weightclass.

BTW niceguy45 Cotto ****s on Margarito, Mayorga, and Gomez anyday of the week.

Not a chance Cotto loses to that club fighter.

True, but **** ain't gonna happen on 2008, maybe early 2009.

I know PBF may be one of the best boxer out there RIGHT NOW, but I believe at 147 lbs he might be over-rated. Due to PBF size... Margarito, PW, And Cintron will become hard fights. When was PBF exposed to hard hitting bigger opponents??? When was the last time???

IMO, PBF must have an almost perfect fight agaisnt a bigger and more powerful opponent in order to win by decision. PBF doesn't got what it takes to KO Margarito, Cintron and PW. That's the main reason he fought very slow and aged Baldomir, smaller hatton and Grannie Oscar.

Cotto and Mosley are by far the most toughest choices and he will not voluntarly face them. It's hard to call him the best while he figts ODLH and
Cotto keeps going out there and keeps getting the job done.

you usually have good points bro, but in this case I gotta agree with the EX. Cotto would easily take apart AM, Cintron. We don't even need to talk about Gomez, a solid "C+/B-" fighter.

If FM won't fight Cotto by early 2009, he's straight duckin....
