Hopkins offers "chilling" warning to Calzaghe

BBC, Sport, BBC Sport, bbc.co.uk, world, uk, international, foreign, british, online, service

Joe Calzaghe has been warned he "better be willing to die" by Bernard Hopkins ahead of their 19 April light-heavyweight contest in Las Vegas.
Looks like Bernard is going to use his specialized technique of alternately boring and cheating Joe Calzaghe to death.

Of course he will, he will make it a ugly fight and make Sloppy Joe's ***** lookin', like he is fighting his way out of spider webs style look even more ******ed. Hopkins will enforce his style on Joe and at the end of the 12 rounds nobody will be too sure on who won.

I'm picking Joe by split decision with every Joe fan crying robber afterwards and I will lmao. Take a look a peep at the signature.

"I can take a guy who throws about a 1000 punches and reduce em' down to 500. If he aint throwing that 1000, he aint winning because that's what he's been winning on."
Trouble is those 500 punches will beat Bernard's 50 punches...

Hope can they cry robbery if he gets the decision.

If he reduces JCs workrate to 500, he still loses.

If that's the myth you brits wanna go by, fine. Workrate will not be a factor in this fight.

Id pick Calz to win a decision, if not a stoppage on cuts.

Not that Calz is really anything great. But he is just so much faster than Hopkins ever was in his prome, let alone past his prime. Hopkins will try to make it a street brawl but Calz will have no part of it. As Hopkins forces his way through Calzs jab his face will be met by those bull**** cuffing punches that Calz likes to "flurry" with. Case in point here, Calz will just be too fast for the war torn Philadelphia General.

But ofcourse maybe if the fight was not held in Wales then Calz might actually get called for all of the cuffing that makes the brow of my eye twinge even as I just watch it. Hopkins will bleed in this fight. Not from being hammered by punches but rather from the swelling that will occur from the palm of calzs glove..................Rockin'

That's the worst analogy I've read. Hopkins forcing his way through Joe's jab???? What? Hopkins has more tricks up his sleeve then that rhythmless cripple. Hopkins getting stopped on Cutts? Common.

If anybody is gonna force their way through somebody's jab, it's gonna be Sloppy Joe.

Joe might win a decision in a close ugly fight but he isn't smashing Hopkins up. Think of the Kessler fight, except alot closer with alot more clinching and dirty tactics.
