Can i get stuff FROM by Cablevision DVR to a DVD???

The reason i said Cablevision DVR is because on that DVR, there is no DVD slot or anything.

So is there anyway to maybe hook my computer up to the DVR and get it onto my computer? i could take it from there cause i have a DVD burner...

    thanks

That was going to be my suggestion...which is what I have done in the past.
Burn a DVD using a DVD recorder from a DVR...

That is definitely the way to go now. DVD recorders are much more affordable now. You can transfer DVR or VHS to it. One word of caution though, they have developed a system to block the ability to transfer PPV's from DVR to DVD. You can expect it on every system by the end of next year.

          this may not help but.
my brother pays $19.99 to snapstream an internet satalite cable thing and down loads hbo, showtime, some sky and setana, espn, etc...to computer. edits with i think tivo or something, maybe adjusts things and makes menu with programs liketmpgedvd and anydvd ,then shrinks fights down with dvd shrink so they fit on one dvd.
so everythings downloaded from internetsite to computer then fiddled around with then burnt with nero burning rom on computer.
yea i'm a rube, still ,with this computer stuff. glad my brother knows this stuff.
