Didn't they say Mike Tyson didn't look like anything special in the amateurs? He was beat in the box offs for the Olympics, then two years later he's the heavyweight champion. Wlad doesn't have a good enough chin to be "safe" for the next ten years. And how can anyone predict how age will effect a fighter? Wlad might only have 4 or 5 good years left, a lot of fighters loose it in their mid 30's."Now I don't see anything in the next three, four or five years, even in the amateur program. Manny speaks the truth. It's really pitiful that there aren't any real competitors for Wladimir right now.
Of course, anything can happen in Boxing and Wlad could get knocked out by Ibragimov for all I know. I don't see anyone beating him on paper though.
I also agree with Wlad that Ibragimov is smart but simple intelligence won't overcome Wlad's physical advantages and Wlad isn't a dumb guy himself either. I see Wlad winning the fight with an impressive KO.
I just hope someone like Haye would go on a KO streak and establish himself as a top contender.Comment
