He has power, but I'd say he wins fights mostly on jabs. Look at the boxing lesson he gave to Andrade.

Right. My prime example would be Julian Jackson. Perhaps hardest puncher ever pound for pound. But when his punch did not hit the jackpot, it was over sooner or later. He barely ever went the distance. In fact I can't remember a fight of his that went the distance.

Gerald McClellan in his fight against Benn. Straight power punches are useless when it's proven to be ineffective(Or atleast, not enough to WIN). You always need a plan B, but if you canīt adapt or use anything else other than your money punch, it's no use.

Miranda has had same problems, again another example such as his fight against Pavlik. Thankfully he is working on his boxing skill more now.

In conclusion, the more raw phsysical talent a fighter has in this department(raw power and strength), the more succesful he will be. But sooner or later he will find the a guy in the ring that has his number. That is the time where he needs to dig deeper, but he doesn't have a big enough shovel.

Kessler is one of, if not the most technical boxer at SMW, and Pavlik is one the most one dimensional at MW.

Calzaghe is widely reknowned for his boxing skills, yet some people were picking Kessler because they believed him to be the better technical boxer. We have since seen that this was not the case, but Kessler is still definitely the second best technical boxer at SMW, and maybe even has a claim above of Joe.

I fail to see how you could get this so wrong. I bet you also think Hopkins will beat Calzaghe....

ROFL, yeah Tito was exposed after going up multiple weight classes . He might've been exposed as not being a true MW but he was a two handed fighter who had KO's with body shots, left hooks and right hands. He doesn't fight the category as a 1 punch fighter.

Going back to the original post its not always true. You look at Kostya Tzu and you'll see that his right was a 1 punch finisher in many fights but he had enough technique to win when it didn't land as well at he would've liked.

However you have guys like Rocky Juarez who seem to look for his left hook all fight and if it doesn't land he doesn't seem to have a plan B.
