It doesn't matter though, because he either piles up a ton of points or gets a mid-to-late stoppage.

If I'm thinking of the one guy with the most "lights out" power right now, it would be Edison Miranda.

Manny shouldn't be on the list, he is an overwhelming puncher not a power puncher

I'm guessing this is a p4p poll of big names only, otherwise you would have names like David Tua or Shannon Briggs on there. P4p? I'd say Pavlik is up there, Haye at cruiser, Cotto and Miranda.

I agree Manny pacquiao was a devastating power puncher at 122....now he is more of a overwelming fighter who relies on countering you with his speed and precision.

Ok well, some people here obviously can't play by the rules. First off, I'm going by the fighter they listed. Take out Miranda. Yeah, Tarver KOed Jones, who else P4P? I agree that Manny isn't 1 punch KO. He hasn't been in years. He is a build up on power punches type of guy that wears you down. But so is Pavlik...so why is he on the list then you might ask? Well you can't. HBO picked these guys, and that's how I made my choice.

Out of their list I would have to say Pavlik. Pac, Wlad, and even Cotto to a degree are more volume punchers. Peter has great power and might be the strongest puncher in all of boxing but needs to work on technique. A good punch is a lot more than sheer power. But I would probably still rank him second from that list.

Off the list it’s hard to say who the P4P hardest puncher is but Miranda certainly has to be mentioned, but my vote would probably go to Berto.

The most powerful puncher pound for pound could well be Miranda, out of that list, Pavlik.
