That's the usual PR crap used by every fighter to boost sales. Hopkins has always said more or less the same thing, but, NOT SINCE HE was beaten by Jones, has he ever delivered. His fights are uniformly dreary struggles, of WWW standards, and that he has won most of them can be put down to his determination, the subservient opponents, his massive fouling, and his hard bullet-like head, which he uses just as well as Holyfield, maybe better. There's NO way that Hopkins, who has NEVER lit a single fire under himself (except with his mouth) will be any differnt this time. He'll move faster, that's true, but only because he's going to be bustled and pushed around by the lighning fast (by comparison)Calzahghe. If Calzaghe loses to Hopkins in a fair fight (I emphasize "fair") he'll NEVER live it down and it'll be a stain on his record for ever.
I wish that fighters, promoters, trainers, and other assorted riff-raff attached to the boxing world would THROW OUT....PERMANENTLY, that much overused and misunderstood word..."excited". It seem that they ALL get "excited' about the most normal functions of life in general. Ronny Nath....who
keeps tabs on Manny P, gets "excited" when he sees-or hears- that Manny has peformed the natural function represented by the capital letter of his name. He rushes into print to tell us all about it...excited almost to incoherence. He is just one mild example. Forget about the superlative "excited"- and use "delighted", "pleased", "interested" "intrigued", and many other more suitable words. all sitting there lonely, unappreciated, and ignored................ "Lineal" is another word, which has been ignored by the experts, in favour of "linear" which means something different entirely, and not what the writers "mean it to mean"...... never mind.....
