    Question: Why is Steve Smoger called "A puncher's referee"?

    Wouldn't it be the opposite?

    He makes life hell for a puncher, because they have to do a lot more to get the KO than normal.

      True, but if they were a "true puncher" They should be able get the job done no matter what ref it is...

          Because he's been known to let fights go on when a fighter is taking punishment.
