WBO welterweight champion Carlos Quintana is going to make a optional defense of his title in the middle of the year, with June as the possible month of choice. Quintana tried to land a fight with Shane Mosley, who turned the bout down for a May 17 pay-per-view scrap with Zab Judah. [details]

All I took from this is that I will not be watching Mosley vs. Judah live...
Why the **** is a fight with 2 fighters coming off losses on PPV?!? -
I was thinking the same.
And Zab Judah? PPV? His fight against Miguel Cotto was supposed to be his last big chance. (at least he'd have to build up his resume again before getting another opportunity to be on PPV) But no, HBO is just looking at the name. I seriously think this will be among one of the lowest PPV numbers we've seen out of HBO. Not quite as bad as Klitschko/Williams but I don't believe it will break the 225-250k mark.Comment

Because Oscar is fighting on regular HBO that month. If Mosley-Judah was on regular HBO too, their budget would take a major hit. So they need the PPV revenue. But don't forget, Barrera's comeback fight is rumored to be on this card as well. So more than likely will turn out to be another PPV like Barrera-Peden, Mosley-Cruz. Only with a much more intriguing match up.Comment
