Where hell you hear Manny weighing 160lbs? I never read that or heard of him ever weighing that high. 2nd off, how can you say fame getting to him at this point of his career? He's always been in the spotlight and if you want to say he got hugely famous it was when he beat Barrera. That was when fame got to him and he took Marquez lightly the first time due to all the accolades and partying he had following his Barrera conquest. Now all that is over with. He knows what he's doing and his accomplishments since the Marquez fight speak for themselves. This question should have been asked after Manny beat Barrera the first time.
Is manny lettin his fame get to him?

This is a good post with fair points being made. But I wish you would take the time to put in some periods, cause I think some people will just skip reading because of it.that is something a lot of people, especially handicappers, have been concerned about with manny and this fight. i too think that he might be getting a little big headed with his status and i'm sure it's hard as hell to keep to your roots when you're the biggest thing on the planet as far as your home country is concerned, but i have a little faith and a little bit of a angle on manny keeping true to his training and being prepared.
when i hear people talking about manny slipping and not taking his training serious, this and that, i say, well you are right to a certain extent. i would like to think that manny is taking this fight serious and is training serious and has his focus on tight. mainly due to the reason is that with his last fight he beat barrera, who he already handled years before and barrera was not in his prime, he wasn't too concerned with solis, he ko'd morales in their second fight and felt like he had his number, larios was considered a tune up fight of some sorts, and then morales again which he knew he was going to beat because morales is/was at the end of his peak in his boxing game, but now comes marquez who he didn't beat and basically gave manny the hardest fight between all of them. i think manny knows the importance of beating marquez and is taking it serious, i think that manny knows that he had a hard time with marquez after that first round and doesn't want that kind of fight again, although i had pacquiao winning by two rounds, i was ok with the draw, i thought that marquez showed the world what it is like to rise to the championship level during the worst of times in the ring.
to sum it all up, i think manny is taking this fight very seriously because he didn't win against marquez and i think that he's going to train or has been training like he's the challenger who wants to prove something to the world, at least i would like to think so.
i personally think that we're going to see the best that marquez and pacquiao has to offer inside the ring. from aggression, to skill, to heart, and will, all the way to ultimate respect for their opponent after the fight is over, i think this fight could be one for the ages...................
If Manny can't get up for this one, I think he's ****ed. Not only in the fight, I mean proper ****ed.Comment
