Nascar, Golf, Tennis.......i dont understand how these sports get more primetime than boxing. maybe because they are some of the last sports that White America still has a heavy presence in. which could explain why these sports mostly get showin on networks like ABC and CBS.

****, even MMA is getting more primetime than boxing. They have IFL on Channel 9, they have EliteXC on Showtime, and they have UFC on the Spike Channel.

Well...hockey is a mainly white sport, but that gets little prime time on the big networks.

And as much as I love boxing...maybe it gets what it deserves, because the people who run boxing are thieves, liars and frauds who care little about the fans or the sport.

All the above reasons are valid...but at least in football, the champion has played against the best in order to become champion.
The champion is not 'protected' like so many of these phony fighters we have today.A football team can't avoid another...

There cannot be a con-man like Oscar Dela Hoya, who loses and fights a Mayweather again just to make more money.
And while he does this,he keeps a real fight, like a Mayweather/Cotto from happening.

I love boxing...but so many in it,like Oscar, really do suck the life out of the sport.

as opposed to great man of integrity, the man of hockey, the man of the people Gary Bettman in both the case of the NHL and NBA.

your not even allowed to lead by more than 10 points in the NBA and hockey they've run completely into the ground since 1993 when Bettman took over.

People like you who say this about Oscar Delahoya are just haters.

How about Mosely, retiring? Or how about Hopkins so Dawson can get in the mix(new blood right..), or how about Roy Jones and Felix Trinidad just retire so we can let the young blood get the attention, or how about Evander Holyfield so the other heavyweights can get the light...i can go on, but you and i know that you just hate on Delahoya for anything he does. . If you want to call it then call them all out but don't isolate just one guy when theres many that should stay retired.

If Gary Bettman ran boxing he'd have a rep of majorleagueboxing in each corner and every fight it would be like you land 20 punches the guy in the corner yells something you stop punching and just dance the round ends. Next round the rep in your corner tells you your going to lose the next round so you do you just stand there and get jabbed for the 3 minutes. It basically goes on like this for 12 with the annoucers being like 'ohh what a classic coming to the last bell what a close fight who's gonna win!!!' They'd probably hire Eddie Olzyck.
