Because he is the best British heavyweight with wins over Sprott and Danny Williams. Pretty much a warm up fight for Chagaev before he takes on Valuev again.

Anyway it's done now. Somehow the crappiest of the lot emerged as the best merely because he was determined. He fought for a title where he made a guy a million times more skilled work hard to defend it. Meanwhile he has ensured none of our other heavies will get a title shot. They are all horrific anyway, aside from Danny but he's well done now.

So in the main it's a good thing. Though it would have been funny to see Audley get terrorised by someone geniunely world class.
