You are probably right, but he won't have proven that until he beats Abraham to unify the middleweight title.

Although he only has a couple of fights against top opponents, they were convincing wins. Definitely real.

No doubt about it he's real.

I thought he was real when he fought Miranda. Fighting JT was kinda the proof of, "Yea bitches I'm for real"

If you think about it though, them cats aren't coming over here and it would be pointless for him to fight over there considering if and when he beats either Sturm or Abraham...who else is left in the division? I'm not sold on Andy Lee. He's an up and coming Middleweight, but with no defense which will make him dinner for Pavlik.

Pavlik has bigger fights on the horizon. I don't see him stayin at Middleweight too much longer.

            Yeah he is.

Get used to calling him the man. Sturm and Abraham probably won't ever fight him. I'd be surprised. So yeah he is the definetely the real deal at middle, he beat the most legitimate threat.

Abraham is actually very good, but just world titles in Germany......stay there.

I read where Abraham intends to come here, maybe starting out by fighting on the Pavlik-Duddy undercard. Of course talk is cheap, but at least there is some room for hope. I agree about Pavlik having a short shelf life at 160 so if it happens, it will have to happen this year.

"In which for a minute i thought he was". He did have the athletism, speed and power to fool most of the people on this forum that he was the next big thing and the best in the middleweight division But here comes the kid from Ohio.....and knocks Taylor out the first time and then outpoints him in thier second fight. What does that mean for Pavlik is he the best in the division and who beats him at 160?????
Taylor deserved his wins over Hopkins & Spinks IMO ,Hopkins gave him the 1st fight by getting outworked & giving away the 1st half of the fight ,and Spinks was more interested in not angauging in any exchanges he ran all night long & was hurt in the fight

Pavlik beat Taylor decisively twice. Hopkins, Wright and Spinks merely beat Taylor by fighting defensively and frustrating Taylor...that didn't earn them a decision, but it put it out there that Taylor was there to be had. Pavlik took the title and won the rematch. He's definitely legit. The only question is how long he remains on top and how many top fighters he beats.

We can only guess who'll beat him. I'm banking on Andre Ward, but that's just a pure guess. I don't think Duddy, Trinidad, Sturm, Abraham or Lee will be the ones to do it and I do think Pavlik will fight and beat at least three of those five.
